Lily

We have been so blessed to spend time with our cousin Lily. She and Emery are 5 months apart and have grown to be real pals. We have had Lily over to play on many occasions. It has just been a sweet time. Once after Lily left our house, Emery looked at me and said, "Mommy, I wuv wilwee!" Joe and Kristi have been in town raising support and going to Mission meetings in the states. It has been a really sweet time. We pray for them as they go back to Mexico and the security of their mission has been compromised. We are trusting them to God as they bring the Truth to Mexico out of faith. Thank you Joe and Kristi for this sweet time. We will miss you and will be praying for you. Thank you for sharing Lily with us too. We love you all.

Thankful

I came away from my bible study today feeling very heavy and feeling tired of all the burdens that people carry around from day today. As I know this book may be controversial, I am reading The Shack and it is really good. It has helped me take a look at my relationship with Christ and examine it. Am I really getting everything out of my relationship that He desires for me. Jesus is talking with the character Mack and tells him that He never intended us to bear the burdens we do. He also tells him that our good and bad are our own perceptions. I know I am not doing this book any justice. I just know that we are to be thankful to God for the things He gives us each day. He wants us to give Him our burdens and our tears and our pain. It seems as though He allows us to go through pain often so that we are reminded of what He has done for us. How big He is and how small we are and we are to seek Him!
Dear Jesus, please help us to look to you. Help us to lay our burdens at your feet. I pray that we would "get it." I pray that Emery and Ivy would treasure you and would know you to the fullest potential. I pray that Andy and I and everyone reading this would see you as their Treasure. Thanks for what you have done and what you are going to do for us!
