Let my words be few!

Andy and I spend a lot of time analyzing our thoughts and motives behind our actions. When you have children it becomes more obvious (or it did to us anyway)that your words really mean something! It has been heavy on our hearts as we are training our children according to the Word of God that our words have weight and meaning. That usually means taking action and saying less! Easier said than done. We believe in speaking life to each other, and I pray that as we continue to practice the fruit will show. Life on life! Lord, let our words be few and may we be life-giving to everyone we are with!

Carvings of Olivewood

My hope for "my girls" is that they will be as carvings of Olivewood that adorn and make beautiful the Temple of God. This blog takes it's name from this objective.

My job is to love them into that position. Check in often to measure my progress. See if we learn to make the Glory of the Lord our pursuit, the Joy of the Lord our strength and His Peace our rampart in life.

Ivy

My name is Ivy and I am 10 days old and growing fast! I like to snuggle close with my hands very close by. I also like to eat and sleep...LOTS! I like my big sister Emery as well!

Emery

My name is Emery Suzanne and a lot of my close friends and family call me "Emmy." My Daddy likes to call me "Emmy Sue." I am 2 years old. I love Thomas the Tank Engine, the Wiggles and Blues Clues. I like to play with my friends and my cousins. I take swim lessons and I love to swim in our pool at home.
I have a new sister and her name is Ivy. (I call her "Ibee") I like to be with her and help take care of her. I am a great big sister!

"I NEVER..."

I never thought that I would be a blogger. I never thought I would scrapbook. And so many more "I nevers!" Well...so much for those vows that I made. Here I go!!! I really thought through this blog thing as I did not want (or need) something to take anymore of my precious time. As I have just had my 2nd child, (who is now 10 days old!) I find that I am more sentimental and sappy than ever! I want my children to know me and know what gifts they are to me. I want to remember the little things. This blog is going to be my attempt for our family to remember. So, here is to "I never..."
