Nap time

Shhhh....whisper when you read this! Today I went in Emery's room to check on her and this is what she looked like! I love nap times. I know God gave them as a gift to Mommies! We need a break from our little bundles of energy! I look at the girls when they are sleeping and I am reminded of the verse in Zechariah when it says, "He sings songs of love over us while we sleep." There is nothing more peaceful than a sleeping baby. What a beautiful picture of how Jesus is our peace and He wants us to be as peaceful as we are when we are sleeping. Joy and peace to you my sweet babies.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the local pumpkin patch down the road from our house. Uncle Steve went with us. Emery had a great time playing in the hay and going into the hay house! She road a tractor and we picked out a big pumpkin that we will carve for Halloween.

I can't beileve it!

You know, I always imagined what my life would be like. I remember playing house with my sisters and imagining what our kids would be like. My ways and my dreams that I had are nothing compared to the dreams that Jesus has had for my life. I could have never imagined the true blessings of my girls and my husband. His ways are truly higher than our ways. He always does things we could never ask or imagine! Thank you Lord for your plan and your eyes that see beyond and for the better.
My sisters and I are all married and have children. It seems like we are still the kids playing house. I find myself being so amazed that I am "the mommy." I am filled with gratitude, and stand in awe of Jesus. His blessings are so good. God you get all the glory!
