HOLY MOLY!
"Holy Moly!" is what I said today as I dodged some debris in the road, trying not to hit it with our car. Not even a second later I hear..."howey, mowey!" It is Emery quoting my words. We just started laughing together as we repeated the saying. I sure was glad that holy moly was ALL I said! HA!
I was inside and Emery and Andy were outside and she came in and told me, "I angry, I not obey!" (something she saw on Sesame street) Andy had sent her in for throwing dirt in our pool after he had told her not too. So literal and so cute! She repeats what she sees and hears!
Last night our sermon at church was on Surrender. Wow...that was a deep thought for my sleep deprived brain. As I had my quiet time this morning, the Lord showed me places where I was not surrendered and what lies I had believed that prevented me from surrendering all to Him. Oh, it was so hard to hear and yet, the Lord is so gentle with us because He wants us to share the fullness of His grace. All of this to say, I began to think, "Do my girls see a life that is surrendered? Do they hear a heart that is surrendered?" I want to be an example to them, but the real reason to surrender is to please the heart of Jesus and to walk in true freedom so that my life can be full of the blessings He has for me and my family. Because I am surrendered my family will reap 7the blessed life He gives as we allow Him to be our all. That is what deserves a "HOLY MOLY!" I pray for you, Emery and Ivy, that you live a life surrendered to Jesus...that is a full life!
