Funny things...

I remind myself whenever I enter this site..."Why am I doing this?" and then I remember... to remember! So here I am trying to remember some funny things this week.

"I pussing mommy!"
(translation: I'm fussing Mommy!" all of her f's are p's) She said this to me when I asked her what was wrong. We tell her not to fuss often. We are working on her tone of voice as it can be rather shocking at times! When she says something in the "wrong" tone we say, "Excuse me?" and then she proceeds to take her voice up another couple of octaves and say it again!

"Mommy, you make my face a mess!" as to why Emery doesn't want me feeding her!

"Craze God!" as she sings along to the Gateway CD.

"I going tooting." When asked if she needs to go potty.

"I not get a panker..." we all know what this is for!

She is just a precious soul. Today I have been watching her "shows." She has had a little wand and has been using it to dance. She asks to pray each night at the table. She loves to go on walks with Andy and Jack. This semester we are continuing our swim lessons and MOPS group. We added a weekly bible study for Mommy, and Emery attends the child care with her friends Stone and Caedmon. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.

As far as Ivy goes...well, she is 8 weeks old today and last night I put her in her big girl bed. She has been taking naps there for 2 weeks, but I did it. It was hard, but I felt like we were ready. (note...the imperial "we") She takes lots of naps and is easy to read (if you know what I mean). She doesn't mess around in letting you know what she wants! I was praying for her last night and the word, "warrior" came to my mind. I prayed that she would war in the spirit for the lost and that she would use her mantle of love to win souls to Jesus. My heart for both of my girls is for them to see and savor Him. I feel so privelaged that the Lord would bless me by giving me Ivy and Emery to disciple for His glory. Jesus, please give me the wisdom and the endurance to do it well!
